Shadow of the Full Moon

Shadow of the Full Moon

Full Moon Shadow Routines

Snow Moon- Virgo Full Moon on February 24thwas a strong one especially for me. I have my sun and moon in Virgo, This one was a doozy for me. During this full Moon in Virgo, and with the Sun being in Pisces at the time, it led to completely opposite energies which can be very difficult to navigate. This energy brings boundaries being tested, emotional rollercoaster, taking out the trash and clearing clutter. Farmer’s Almanac says the Snow Moon or Hungry Moon was named after the snow on the ground and food being scarce, it was indicative of the last stretch of winter and soon to be spring.

So, I wanted to share a little self-care that I do on the days leading up to or following the full moon. Effects from a full moon can be felt 3-5 days of the full moon and some of symptoms can include: brain fog, tiredness, restlessness, irritability, scattered thinking, headaches. The headache was a big one for me. Some of the routines I do to help myself deal with the tough energy present are :

  • Drink tons of water
  • Plenty of rest
  • Get outside, Take a walk or hike. Sit outside with my shoes off.
  • Breathwork 20-30 minutes a day( Utube has a bunch)
  • Yoga or Stretching 20-30 Minutes a day. (Utube )
  • Cleaning my space
  • Reading Tarot and Oracle Cards ( personal preference)
  • Journaling
  • Take a salt bath, essential oils are a +

These are great routines anytime but especially before or after a Full Moon. It can really get you off to a good start.
